Step 1: Gather Required Information

Ensure you have the following details and documents ready:

  1. Aadhaar Number of the applicant (mandatory).
  2. PAN Card (mandatory for companies, LLPs, and other business entities).
  3. Bank Account Details (bank account number and IFSC code).
  4. Business Address and contact details.
  5. NIC Code: National Industrial Classification (NIC) Code for the business activity.
  6. Investment and Turnover Details: Information about the business’s investment in plant & machinery/equipment and annual turnover.

Step 2: Visit the Udyam Registration Portal

  1. Go to the official Udyam Registration portal: https://udyamregistration.gov.in/.

Step 3: Begin the Registration Process

  1. On the homepage, select “For New Entrepreneurs who are not Registered yet as MSME” if you are registering for the first time.
  2. Enter your Aadhaar Number and Name of the Entrepreneur as per the Aadhaar card.
  3. Click on “Validate & Generate OTP” to receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.

Step 4: Fill in the Udyam Registration Form

  1. Enter Personal Details: Fill in your personal details such as the type of organization, PAN number, etc.
  2. Business Information: Provide the name of the business, address, and other relevant details.
  3. Bank Details: Enter the bank account number and IFSC code.
  4. Major Activity: Choose the major activity of your enterprise (manufacturing or service).
  5. NIC Code: Select the NIC Code for the business activity.
  6. Investment and Turnover Details: Provide the details of your investment in plant and machinery/equipment and the turnover of the business.
  7. Select the District Industry Center (DIC): Choose the DIC from the dropdown list.

Step 5: Submit the Application

  1. Once all the details are filled in, click on “Submit and Get Final OTP”.
  2. Enter the OTP received on your mobile number and click on “Final Submit”.

Step 6: Receive Udyam Registration Certificate

  1. After successful submission, you will receive a Udyam Registration Number.
  2. The Udyam Registration Certificate will be issued online and sent to your registered email ID.
  3. You can download the certificate from the portal.
