Applying for an Authorized Dealer (AD) Code online using a digital signature involves several steps. Here’s a general guide on how to do it:

Step 1: Obtain a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)

  1. Choose a Certifying Authority (CA): Select a CA authorized by the government (e.g., eMudhra, Sify, etc.) to issue Digital Signature Certificates.
  2. Apply for DSC: Fill out the required forms and provide necessary documents like identity proof, address proof, and a photograph.
  3. Verification: Complete the verification process as per the CA’s requirements, which might involve an in-person verification or video verification.
  4. Receive DSC: Once verified, you’ll receive the DSC in a USB token.

Step 2: Prepare Documents for AD Code Registration

  1. PAN Card of the Business
  2. GST Registration Certificate
  3. Bank Account Details (including a letter from the bank with the bank’s IFSC code and the bank account number)
  4. IEC (Importer Exporter Code)
  5. Bank Authorization Letter: This should be on the bank’s letterhead and include the bank manager’s signature and stamp.
